What We Offer
ALTERNATORS
The alternator provides electrical power while the car is running and it is also responsible for charging your battery. We can provide a new , repair or overhaul your original alternator or starter motor, for you car, truck, bus, motor home and many others.
STARTER MOTORS
Your vehicle's starter motor is responsible for turning over the engine during ignition. Without it, nothing else functions. The cause of a malfunctioning starter motor may be because it is damaged, has faulty electrical connections or has a stiff or faulty solenoid switch (engaging relay).
GENERAL WIRING
A vehicle's electrical system is a closed circuit of colour coded wires connected to a battery. Damage, corrosion, short circuits, component failures like bulbs or other causes to the wiring will create an open system and prevent other systems from working.
ELECTRIC BRAKE CONTROL UNITS
Have these fitted to ensure safe stopping while transporting your trailer, caravan or motor home. We offer a wide variety of electric brake control units including the popular “Tekonsha” and “Redarc” brand.
DUAL BATTERY SYSTEMS
We can supply fit and wire a dual battery system to meet your needs for your caravan, auxiliary lighting and fridges. Stocking the popular Redarc and Electro range, we also have access to a wide range of dual battery systems including, projecta, and piranha. Being a proud Century agent finding the right battery to suit your vehicle will be a breeze.
LIGHTING
We offer a wide range of auxiliary lighting including spot lights, driving lights, rotating and flashing lights, LED work lights and auxiliary lighting for your car, truck or machinery. With a wide range including the popular “NARVA, HELLA” & The Australian owned “LIGHT FORCE” we are sure to be able to get you prepared for the road ahead.
SATELITE TRACKING
Looking to keep track on your machines, vehicles, cars, or staff? Install a GPS satellite tracking system to protect your valuable assets, reduce coast and increase productivity. We are distributors and installers of Trakka GPS and can install on anything from your Prime Mover to your smart phone.
MINE SPECIFICATIONS
Heading to the mines? Wheatley’s Auto Electrical can offer the full range of electrical mine spec products to meet your compliance regulations. From rotating and flashing lights, isolation and cut out switches, emergency stops, reverse beepers and sensors, jump start receptacles, VHF Radio, roof mount high lights, and auxiliary lighting.
RADIO COMMUNICATIONS
Improve your communication needs and sight safety and install a up to date, state of the art reliable UHF or VHF radio. We choose to stock the ever reliable and user friendly Uniden range.
AIR CONDITIONING
We have fully qualified and trained air conditioning technicians with state of the art air conditioning equipment to diagnose and resolve all your air conditioning problems. We provide re-gassing, servicing and leaks to major air conditioning repairs such as compressor, condenser, evaporator, tx valves, receiver dryers, cabin filters, and complete replacement of air conditioning system and components .
SMART START INTERLOCKS
As an approved alcohol interlock provider authorised by TMR QLD, we provide installation and servicing of Smart Start Interlock ignition devices. Under the Queensland Alcohol Ignition Interlock Program (AIIP), servicing is required after the first month and then every 3 months. Once the program is complete, we can remove the interlock device from your vehicle.
Mobile
and Breakdown Service
At Wheatley’s Auto Electrical, we offer both mobile and workshop service, with our mobile service servicing the greater Logan and northern Gold coast area.
We over break down and mobile services for our account customers, covering the Greater Brisbane/ Gold Coast area from Tweed heads, up to the Sunshine coast, and as far out as Toowoomba.

Notes:
Not all jobs are practical or feasible, to be completed as a mobile service due to the type of job or size of the job. If mobile service is not suitable for your specific job, we can arrange to have your vehicle or machine towed to our workshop via tilt tray or flatbed trailers if needed.
Please note that mobile service will incur extra charges.
Do you have problems with your air con not getting cold. Low gas pressures is not always the issues with your air con system. If your vehicle is not fitted with a cabin filter you may have a blocked evaporator core. We can remove, strip and clean your evaporator core if needed.
Air Conditioning
Fully qualified and trained air conditioning technicians, with state of the art air conditioning equipment.
Are you having air conditioning problems? We can resolve minor air conditioning and electrical problems such as re-gassing, servicing and leaks and conduct major air conditioning repairs. We can fix compressor, condenser, evaporator, tx valves, receiver dryers, cabin filters and perform complete replacement of air conditioning system and components if needed.
Do you know air conditioning systems should be services in 24 months? Air conditioning is a serviceable item so the oil and filter should be changed to extend the lifespan of your air conditioning system. Give us a call today to book in for a a/c inspection and service.
Sometimes new parts are not accessible or available but we can make up a/c hoses and a/c lines for those hard to find parts.

With state of the art diagnostic equipment and up to date tools and skills, we will find the cause of your vehicle’s problem. Using our wide range of diagnostic tools, including brands such as G-scan, Launch, Autel, Tech 2, Fluke (and many more), we can quickly detect and resolve your electrical problems.
